IEA Ambassador to Turkey formally assumed his post



The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared the commencement of Sheikh Saniullah Farahmand's official tenure as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Emirate in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the Director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry, stated that Mr. Farahmand was formally introduced to his colleagues at the Afghan Embassy in Ankara by the Afghan Foreign Minister, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Mr. Takal further mentioned that alongside the official delegation, several leaders and scholars from the Afghan community in Ankara were present at the ambassador's introductory meeting.

During the event, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi highlighted that the elevation of Afghanistan-Turkey relations to ambassadorial status signifies strong cooperation and positive ties between the two nations.

The ongoing development of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Turkey is noteworthy, with representatives from both countries expressing a keen interest in advancing and deepening their diplomatic ties.
